CPR -- Where to Learn?

Each year, many lives are lost because people who may have been able to help are not trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR.

This lifesaving procedure is performed when someone has stopped breathing or their heartbeat has stopped, as in cases of electric shock, drowning, or heart attack.

EMSA has joined with other resources to establish Citizen CPR, a coalition of organizations supporting the learning of CPR by citizens. Click here to learn more about Citizen CPR and classes available. Citizen CPR can provide basic CPR instruction to community groups for free. Citizen CPR provides referral information for those seeking a credential for their employment or classes in infant/child CPR and First Aid.

In Oklahoma City, EMSA is an American Heart Association training site. For CPR class information, call (405) 297-7063
